With so many outstanding exhibitions lighting up the city, we're making it easy to experience several in a single evening with a gallery crawl!
The crawl kicks off at GRAY in West Town, where we'll get a guided walkthrough of Weathervane, a solo exhibition by Roger Brown, a celebrated figure from Chicago's iconic Imagist movement.
From there, we'll hop on the Gertie shuttle and make our way to Hans Goodrich for a two-part visit. We'll start with a walkthrough of their current group exhibition at the inaugural gallery space, getting to know the featured artists and their work. Then, alongside the gallery's founder, we'll take a short stroll up the block to Hans Goodrich's brand new second location. There, we'll hear about the gallery's exciting expansion and explore the solo exhibition on view.
Next, we head to Bodenrader for a private walkthrough with the founder. On view is Ethical Managers Make Their Own Rules, a compelling group exhibition featuring work by Jessica Diamond, Hélène Fauquet, and Jason Hirata.
Last, but certainly not least, at Good Weather in the Midland Building for the North American debut of Irish artist and craftsman Seanie Barron. Along with his solo exhibition Aimsir a Chaillfidh, this is also the artist’s first time on American soil and we won’t let that pass without a proper welcome. Before we explore Barron's work, we'll celebrate at Schlep’s speakeasy across the hall and raise a pint to the man himself!
After the toast, members are warmly invited to linger at Good Weather, and we highly encourage everyone to head upstairs for the opening of Met Him Pike Hoses, featuring Tim Mann and Mr. Peanut, running until 8 pm.
TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED BETWEEN LOCATIONS, BEGINNING AT GRAY. TRANSPORTATION WILL END AT GOOD WEATHER AND MEMBERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING THEMSELVES HOME FROM THERE.
